Hi, I'm Annie,
and since I remember myself, I was always passionate about making others feeling great in their body, like giving my older sisters back massages as a 5 years old, for example :)
I discovered the benefits of Pilates over 16 years ago, back in Israel, and I was fascinated by the way Pilates transformed my body and mindset. My passion led me to complete my first certificate program in Tel-Aviv, 2006. I attended dozens of workshops by world-renowned teachers before I got accepted to the highly selective program for exceptional teachers from all over the world, named "The Work" at Vintage Pilates, LA. The program was directed by grandmaster teacher Jay Grimes who was trained by Joseph Pilates himself. "The Work" enabled me to distill and refine the true essence of the Pilates method the way Joseph Pilates originally conceived it.
I will help you build a strong and flexible body, improve your posture, and develop your body awareness. You will feel how the functional aspects of the method significantly improve your movement efficiency, symmetry, and balance. I have 16 years of extensive experience tailoring highly specialized pilates sessions to support a broad spectrum of clients and needs: professional athletes, pre and postnatal women, kids, musicians, those with a sedentary lifestyle, elders, etc. I aim to make you feel happier, more focused, more powerful, and even taller by the end of each class.
Some extra stuff about me:
When I'm not teaching, I enjoy exploring San Francisco's playgrounds and restaurants with my husband and our three boys. I also love weight lifting and playing Japanese Taiko drums.
I'm a member of the Israeli Bar Association and I hold an L.L.B and a B.A. in East Asia studies. I'm also a pre and postnatal certified trainer.
